Is anyone else having problems with the podcast “Admin to Hero Module 19: Create a Site”? I’m getting 404 file not found errors, but all the others are OK.

  2. ForceCertified.comNo Gravatar says:

Yeah I get a 404 on 19 as well. Dev 401 module 2 is absent from the list- all of the others downloaded just fine.

Vijay – install iTunes, and then click the above link.

I am about 4-5 modules deep in the 401 training, and I have to say it has been very helpful so far.

    Cheers all,

    John

Excellent! This is great to have

I just noticed that the podcasts downloaded out of order. Make sure to keep an eye on itunes during the download process. If a download fails I believe it messes up the numbering. I may just download them one at a time.

  11. ForceCertified.comNo Gravatar says:

I’d be more than willing to create a host for the video if it were my content to publish. Unfortunately as this Salesforce owns the materials, it isn’t my place to republish. Sorry mate, I can surely understand your frustration.

  12. VijayNo Gravatar says:

If you don’t want to download all 15 GB of the podcasts, you can now watch them streaming from The Salesforce Channel. The DEV401, DEV501, and Admin to Hero courses are all available as playlists there.

    Hi,

Can any one post some questions related to 401 EXAM?

Tell us, where we can search for them……

  30. John CoppedgeNo Gravatar says:

I believe there a few practice exams you can find if you search. I haven’t written any for developer, although the questions between ADM201 and DEV401 are going to be quite similar.

  31. SallyNo Gravatar says:

Hello, I am willing to pass dev401 but couldn’t find a lot of samples questions. Should I check the questions of the admin exam?
    thanks.

  32. Shahid HusainNo Gravatar says:

I am a mainframe technician (Cobol/CICS/DB2) trying to get on to the new technology. I have gone through the free training videos @ Salesforce website and the iTunes podcasts. Not having the .net/Java background the Visual page stuff and Apex is a bit too involved for me. I am hoping that the certification exam for an administrator does not have too many questions on that area. Can I pass without being good at these 2 topics? I haven’t taken any formal courses but it seems reasonably straight forward. True?

  33. Shahid HusainNo Gravatar says:

Ooops! Sorry, John I forgot to thank you for putting up an amazing lifesaver. Great stuff. You rock! Thanks a ton.

  34. John CoppedgeNo Gravatar says:

    Shahid,

Thanks, appreciate it! You don’t need any Apex knowledge to pass any exam other than advanced developer. You’d only need limited VF for the entry level developer exam, and no code knowledge at all for administrator. Good luck!

    John

  35. Shahid HusainNo Gravatar says:

    John,

I just went through the Summer ’10 Study Guide and read through the list of stuff they expect you to know. Wow! That’s a lot of detail in there and I can see why hands-on experience would be very beneficial.

Actually what would be great if SF (or a good Samaritan like yourself) put out a video which went down this list and demonstrated how a particular thing is done or gave the explanation asked for.

I went through the videos. They were wonderful. Thanks. I was able to answer almost all the questions at the end of each segment but I think that may not be enough for certification.

  36. JyothiNo Gravatar says:

I am planning to take Dev 401 certification can Anyone help me with some sample questions

  37. RadhikaNo Gravatar says:

Please send me the material and sample Questions for 401 certification. I plan to take the exam in next month Urgent.

  38. John CoppedgeNo Gravatar says:

  39. RockyNo Gravatar says:

    Hi John,

Awsome work John!!! Keep it up!!!… it would be helpful if you could provide some notes or sample questions for DEV-501.

    Nice Job Dude!!!

  40. Nishtala SrinivasNo Gravatar says:

    Hi John

I am from Delhi – India, feel interested for Admin or Consultant training option for Salesforce.

Don’t have very good financial support to finance 850 USD for Admin 1 training module, pls suggest how to go about and scope of jobs in or around Delhi / Noida – India after certification from Salesforce.

Prior to that – I have done B.Com(Hons) in 1989 and one diploma cource from NIIT in 1993, post that was doing development on Foxpro, Visual foxpro etc till date.

    Your response is awaited.

    Thanx
